This project is part of the German Excellence Cluster “livMatS”, where we do research on “Living, energy-autonomous and adaptive Materials Systems”. For more information, please visit https://www.livmats.uni-freiburg.de/en.

The candidate shall pursue research and development on frequency-tunable triboelectric generators, to harvest electrical energy from ambient vibrations, where the center frequency of those vibrations is not constant but variable in a certain range.


We are looking for scientists or engineers with an excellent university degree and PhD and a broad knowledge in modeling, design, fabrication and application of microsystems and miniaturized systems, in material sciences and measurement techniques. You are capable and willing to work in a multidisciplinary and multinational team - and in a prestigious excellence cluster - with high engagement and ambition. A successful application of livMatS in the 2nd phase may open perspectives for a continuation of this position.
