The Department of Entomology is providing a research assistantship opportunity for a Ph.D. graduate student in the Integrated Pest Management Lab focused on Controlled Environment Agriculture, under the leadership of Dr. Erich Schoeller. DEADLINE: October 31, 2023
The scholarship position emphasizes research in biological control, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and the adaptation of production systems in controlled environments, including indoor vertical farms, greenhouses, and high tunnels. The objective is to develop environmentally sustainable pest management techniques that optimize agricultural productivity and improve food safety.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field, possess experience in biological control, demonstrate strong communication skills, have proficiency in data analysis (preferably using SAS), exhibit the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and hold a valid driver's license or be capable of obtaining one.
